I spent $60 within my first 15 minutes of being awake

On Monday morning I woke up at 7:30am and by 7:45am I had purchased this hilarious ugly dog vase. I won’t go into detail about the sequence of events that led to this purchase happening moments after I woke up, because that is for me and my therapist and no one else. By the way, it also comes in a hanging vase design. Everyone should get one. Send me pics of it in your apartment.

**Clothing**

Remember that $300 raincoat I said I would NOT buy? Well...I got it! At 60% off! From a very nice woman on Instagram. It’s still in transit but expect lots of photos once it gets here. This is the only clothing I bought this week, despite desperately wanting this Reformation dress I wrote about last week. I went to their weird store in Soho to try it on and it just didn’t fit right. There’s something off with that dress in the print I like, because the same dress in this print fit me perfectly. I walked away but can’t stop thinking about it. We’ll see how I feel in a few days…

**Beauty**

I was very good this week. The only new beauty product I bought was a bottle of dry shampoo. I went with Kristin Ess again! Also happy to report that the new eye cream I got is great. Highly recommend for people with dark under-eye circles who AREN’T using retinol.

**Home**

In a total freak accident, I happened to be checking Craigslist when some guy in Williamsburg listed his kitchen table and corner bench for $250. I pressed pause on Always Be My Maybe, which is worth watching exclusively for the Keanu Reeves cameo, and rushed to my kitchen to measure the walls. The bench was a perfect fit, so I emailed the seller and was at his house within an hour with a friend (hi Margot!) who very nicely helped me load it in and out of a Lyft. I am obsessed with this whole setup. The best part is I can replace the table top with a round one (once I find the perfect one in approx 10 years) and just screw it into this base. For now, the current top looks great. Just LOOK at it!! (If and of you want this solid wood dining table from IKEA come and get it. It folds super small but expands to seat 6 people and it has 6 drawers for kitchen junk!)

What I didn’t buy/What’s in the cart:

My Amazon cart is extremely boring right now. I have these replacement brushes for my robot vacuum. (Many of you pointed out that I should change the brush before investing in a whole new vacuum. This is why I say this newsletter is for me, not you. I need help!!!) I also have some super industrial strength velcro strips in the cart, which should help attach the Cold Picnic rug I got a few weeks ago to the brick wall above my dining table.

Next, my Ikea cart. I’m in desperate need of kitchen storage, but can’t find the exact thing I’m picturing in my head. I need something tall and slim with doors that also has enough space on the bottom for Archie’s dog bed. I’m trying to get rid of his crate, which takes up a ton of room and is currently tucked under a metal desk. The desk masks the crate but offers little storage. It’s basically become another surface for me to throw shit on. My solution is to half-build an Ikea Ivar shelf so that I basically end up with this, but without the two bottom shelves. I’d just stick Archie’s bed under there (this would replicate his current bed under a table situation but without the crate. I may need to reinforce the bottom part so that the cabinet doesn’t wobble. Thoughts? Will this fall apart?

I did not buy anything from Madewell’s Terrazzo print collection even though I REALLY WANTED TO and have had the tab open for over a week. I love all of it! The sneakers are great! The swimsuit is perfect! Love this dress, just not on me! (And if you get it, size down one size. One day I will write an entire newsletter about Madewell’s psychotic sizing.) Madewell also released a tank version of one of my favorite tops, a beaded version of the transport tote and this amazing jumpsuit!!! And I don’t know WHAT this is but I love it. ALSO ALSO all sale stuff is an extra 20% off (code = ENJOY20) and someone should get one or both of these sandals.
