Imagine a TJ Maxx but for the indie brands you follow on Instagram
Plus: I learned something new about the male anatomy
Hello friends it is time for another Buy Bitch! Instead of an intro I will shamelessly ask you to follow me on Instagram where you will get outfit pics, daily dog updates and way too many Sopranos screenshots. If Twitter is more your thing (I love you but please…seek help…no offense), you are welcome to follow me for infrequent tweets, usually rude ones about media companies.
Recent Purchases
Deiji Studios linen pajamas: I’ve had this tab open on and off for the last year and finally bought these during Deiji’s post-holiday sale. These pajamas are great in any season and they’re easy to wash at home…just don’t dry them. The pajamas have also become my Zoom Top and my colleagues have been duped into thinking I am more put together than I actually am. Real quote from friend and colleague Casey: “God dammit I thought in our meeting this was a button up shirt and I was like “this bitch is getting dressed for work”. Folks, I assure you this bitch is NOT getting dressed for work!
Clay Jewels By Jules: Despite regularly working in my pajamas, there are days where I want to feel like a person. On those days I put on a pair of Jules’ earrings. I bought two pairs and she very kindly sent me a third. They’re all beautiful and so LIGHT. Do yourself a favor and grab a pair or three.
Baggu masks: I got a second pack of Baggu masks when new prints were released a few weeks ago. I’m a sucker for fruit print :). PSA if you’re in Brooklyn: All the prints are in stock there, even these guys in the ear loop style.
2021 Calendar: I was scrolling through my TikTok FYP and came across a video of these calendars getting screen-printed. I instantly followed the artist on Instagram and pre-ordered one from the second batch. It arrived a couple of days ago and I love it! She’s got a ton of cute stuff in her shop.
Mini Haul from Cara Cara: Ok so I stumbled upon this store that appears to be a TJ Maxx but for…designers I follow on Instagram?? There’s lots of great stuff but I got this Dusen Dusen pillow cover for $20 and this skirt, which I’m now realizing is my second fruit print purchase in the last 30 days. I signed up for their newsletter to get the extra 15% off my purchase so I got everything for $55. There are so many Charlotte Stone shoes on there too! If you are a size 8 or 10, I highly recommend these. OR if you’re a 10 or 11 they’re available in pink/brown. I have them and they’re so comfy!
Thermal wrap dress: I got this dress in black, which now appears to be sold out. It wasn’t a NEED but the thermal fabric looked so comfy and I’m a big wrap dress fan.
Recent Tabs
Brooklinen Comforter: I’ve been casually shopping for a new comforter for a while (there are too many comforter options IMO) and I think I’m about to say FUCK IT ALL and just get this ultra warm one from Brooklinen. Those of you who are close to me IRL know that my apartment is extremely cold and I’ve convinced my landlord to subsidize my electric bill (my heat is electric and my winter bill would bring you to your knees) but your girl is still sleeping in layers and we just can’t have that. Down alternative comforter suggestions are very welcome!
Onsen towels: Was anyone else bombarded with Instagram ads for these towels? My #1 fan Megan Greenwell bought the Onsen towels and loves them almost as much as she loves me. I do not need new towels so I closed this tab (please clap) but for anyone in the market, Megan says the towels are “soft and nice and big and fast drying” but that you wash them alone because “they seem like high risk to pull.”
Lisa Says Gah archive sale: I showed some REAL restraint and only bought one thing so I’m going to link to a few things someone else should buy: This wave sweater, stretchy ribbed pants and giant blanket scarf!!
Literally every single shirt on this site is good, especially this one.
I did not buy any of these dog beds even though they are beautiful.
I did not buy this stained glass light bulb after watching this Tiktok but I really considered it.
Various rugs: I’m looking for a rug to go under my kitchen table and have run into this problem where the only rugs I like are expensive and/or not suited for an eating area and/or an apartment with a shedding dog. Here are various rugs I’ve looked at and cried over in the past 4 weeks: She’s $800 and perfect, this one is CURSED and I love it, dying thinking about all the dog hair that would get woven into this, this one is perfect but is “custom order pricing” only, this one is also perfect but I’m afraid it wont fix my current issue with my table corner, that there’s not enough color (lotsa wood tones). Am I crazy? Probably! Here is the corner in question in case anyone has a rug suggestion:
Empties
This is a ~*new*~ section that was going to be dedicated to beauty products I actually finished/repurchased but I’m expanding it a little. Ok here we go:
Dieux Eye Mask: I’ve been using these reusable eye masks for about a month and I’m into them. I still sometimes reach for my snail ones because I keep them in the fridge and they feel nice on my face but now as I write this I realize I can probably keep the reusable ones in the fridge too.
Gossamer CBD gummies: I just finished my box of gummies and need to reorder. I have found that these work best for me on an empty stomach (mornings). They taste good and keep well. Nice lil treat :)
Kush Queen CBD bath bombs: My good friend Anna changed my life a few months ago when she sent me a Kush Queen CBD bath bomb. Treat yourself to the 100 or 200mg and soak in it for at least 30 minutes. Put some headphones on, light a candle and chill. (Many of you will ask this: No it did not stain my tub or towels)
I will leave you with this Tiktok, which taught me something I did not know about the male anatomy.
