Is there anything worse than the week after a holiday weekend?? I can’t think of anything. I’ll move on to all the shopping I did last week (lot’s of sales to cave into!) but first…a reminder to tell all your friends about this newsletter! Forward them this newsletter so they can click this beautiful button:
Ok here’s the life-changing exfoliating cloth
Last week, my waxer said I should try their exfoliating cloth and I cannot believe how much I love it. I know exfoliating before shaving is standard practice but this cloth is different from any loofah or exfoliating glove I’ve ever tried. My skin has never been smoother and the exfoliation made it so I could go an extra day without shaving my legs. My absolute favorite thing about it is how quickly it dries. It’s not a hotbed for bacteria like a loofah or a washcloth can be.
Beaded bag
I took a quick stroll through &OtherStories last week and walked out with this wooden beaded tote bag. I can’t stop looking at it or touching it.
Charlotte Stone sandals
I got these sandals at an extra 30% off during the Charlotte Stone sale. I appreciate this brand because they make shoes that fit my big feet!
I lost control at IKEA…I’m just going to list what I bought
>IVAR cabinet, sides and selves
>Extremely instagrammable faux monstera plant and fiddle leaf fig plant
>Raskog utility cart (this is my second one, I love it so much) and assorted boxes to go inside each level.
>A second medium sized Ikea bag (this is a much better shape than the standard Ikea bag. I use it for groceries, weekend trips and also when I have to take Archie in a car). They have mini ones in the store too!
>Lohals jute rug (Archie had a poop explosion on my last one so I had to toss it and re-buy). It’s a great rug on its own or for layering and its a pretty good price for the size. If I didn’t have to match an existing rug I would have gotten this speckled version or this zig zag one…if anyone is in the market for a rug.
>Drawer dividers for my closet
>Assorted glass items: These clear mugs, a pitcher, two tiny vases.
I tried ________ and it’s great!
Supergoop Sunscreen Oil: Last week I wrote about all the great Supergoop products that were on sale at Anthropologie. I bought the oil sunscreen and loved it so much I got a second bottle before the sale ended. I took it upstate this weekend and it was a hit. Everyone who tried it said “wow this feels amazing” as they massaged it onto their face.
Klorane UV/Chlorine protector: I used the Klorane spray for most of last week and it helped keep my hair from getting crunchy and also helped prevent a sunburn where I part my hair, which I almost always get. I recommend spraying on your hands and working it into your hair part and then doing a few sprays on the rest of your hair. A little goes a long way, it gets a bit oily. Don’t forget a mini Wet Brush!
ASOS stretchy bandeau bikini top: I spent most of the last week in or around a pool and I reached for this top the most. So much that I later had to work hard to correct the tan line it was giving me. It’s so comfortable. Highly recommend.
I didn’t buy this
I walked away from this amazing shelf because I wasn’t sure where I’d put it and now I can’t stop thinking about it. I love the gold??
Reformation has a new dress in that pattern I love :) :) :)
This Brooklinen duvet cover in yellow…again. (It’s sold out in that color now, which is probably for the best.)
An incredible hat by The Reductress.
A beautiful outdoor dining set with curved benches that I just refuse to spend this much money on.
I did not buy this Dusen Dusen dog bed because it is ridiculously expensive but I like looking at it.
These tension rod shelves may be the solution to my closet problems but I’m gonna let them sit in my cart until next week.
