I'd like to start off by saying that if you don’t follow Greta Titelman on Instagram you are REALLY missing out. You may know her as the US Ambassador on Los Espookys (which you should watch ASAP if you haven’t already), but I know her as the ICONIC #GossipMag. Thank you Aleks Chan for introducing this into my life.

OK, here’s what I bought last week (SPOILER: IT IS NOT A LOT AS I AM TRYING TO HAVE SOME SELF CONTROL):
I have a bit of a weed situation in my backyard. All this rain has really escalated things, especially between the pavers and in this massive, unused plant bed I have. I pull the weeds by hand and/or spray them with this pet-safe vinegar weed killer which works wonders if you remember to do it on a regular basis. The pulling and spraying are fine, but I’m looking for more of a quick fix when I need the patio cleaned in 20 minutes because I’ve invited people over. This is why I did a very Adult thing and bought a dang weed whacker. I read the Wirecutter picks, I read the Home Depot reviews, I looked at the top sellers on Amazon…and I decided to narrow it down to something cordless and small. I don’t need anything fancy! I ended up getting this little guy for $65. I charged it up earlier this week and took it out for a quick spin out back. I only used it for a few minutes but it took out weeds quickly. Im confident I could do the entire patio in under 20 minutes. I don’t think this would work for a large plot of land or thick, super tall weeds, but for a small space it’s perfect and it easily tucks away in a closet. ***I’ve done some entry level research on preventing weed growth between patio pavers and on prepping plant beds in the fall, but if you have any recs please reply to this email and let me know!***
In the same Amazon order I got a set of plant pots that were recommended to me by a friend. He basically has every vegetable growing on his back porch in Brooklyn and says he reuses these pots every year. They come in a few different sizes but I got the 5 gallon ones because my shishito pepper plant has quickly grown out of the 3 gallon pot it’s in.
My next purchase was this tray for Archie’s food and water bowls. Archie has started doing this fun new thing where he’ll get the three-foot radius around his water bowl soaking wet, then he’ll step in it and gets the entire kitchen wet. I’ve also seen him walk around with a mouth full of water, letting it spill out onto the floor. Really great stuff! The tray was supposed to prevent splashing and I’d say it’s semi-successful. There is like…50% less water on the floor. I’ll take it.
I ended up getting a pair of white canvas Vans last week after a doctors appointment where it was confirmed that my suspected broken pinky toe was actually broken. I stubbed it really hard a few weeks ago and needed something with a soft top but with a thicker, more supportive sole than my Keds to ride this out. The sales rep at the Vans General Store, who was also the highest person I’ve ever seen at work, was trying to sell me on the leather version but I decided I wasn’t going to pay $100 for Vans. I did get the stain protector spray, though.
I have this and I love it
The Eufy robo vac has done an amazing job keeping up with the dog hair situation. I run it every other day and am super impressed with the results. The brush is very easy to clean, the compartment is pretty big and it doesn’t get caught on things as often as my old one. I don’t think my under-bed area has EVER been this clean. The prime day pricing no longer applies but there is a $20 coupon! If you’re in the market for a robovac, this guy is great.
Remember the cast iron pan drama??? Im happy to announce that after a few months together…I love the pan and it’s currently on sale for $14.
Everyone needs to keep a container of these $10 golden snail eye gels in their fridge. They seriously depuff your under-eye area and feel great when you’re hungover or just have a headache. I’ve been using these on Monday mornings, which tend to be especially difficult for me.
What I didn’t buy
Those Everlane block heel sandals are back in stock in baby blue and they’re BEAUTIFUL! Sadly they’re sold out in my size but someone should get them! You can wear them with fancy socks once it gets colder. Maybe these!
This pop up tent has been sitting in my cart. I’m deciding between this and a sun sail and am leaning towards tent because I can easily move it.
I’ve been eyeing this electric grill my friend Sam has and loves. I hate my charcoal grill and the thought of refilling the tank in a gas grill without a car is exhausting. Gonna let this one hang in the cart for a bit while I think about it.
I really love Wolf Circus jewelry and decided I’d get myself a necklace for my birthday next month but it’s so hard to choose! There’s a classic rose coin pendant, a very cool snake pendant OR a cute pinky swear pendant. Send your thoughts and prayers.
Tabs I opened in the Bona Drag sale: This Samuji skirt is not only in an amazing print but it has an elastic waist! Someone should treat themselves to this weirdo Dusen Dusen cardigan. And I swear to god I have almost bought this dress twice in the last 4-5 months. It’s beautiful and I love it but we all saw what I did last week and I’m on a dress time out.
Tabs I opened in the And Other Stories sale: Leather midi skirt for $125 (sad this is sold out in my size!) & leopard wrap dress for $29!!
Randomly inexpensive designer shit I found at 2am on Amazon: If you are a size 6 you can get this very cool Mara Hoffman midi skirt for $100?? Or if you’re a size 4 you can get this Mara Hoffman grid dress for $124. Seems like it fits oversized though, so I bet it would work for a 6! ALSO if you’re a size 7 shoe and in the market for an extremely high heel, check out these Rachel Comey clogs that are somehow $78. Lastly, this Mara Hoffman button down tank dress is $100 in a medium!
Again, LMK if you need help shopping for literally anything. This brings me joy!
