I'm the last one aboard the Blundstone train
Plus: Bode sneakers, Sephora sale picks and a video series about "messy boy rooms"
ICYMI: My Sephora sale picks are here. If you haven’t read last week’s guest post by Andrew Matson, check it out here. I can’t stop thinking about this line: “We get dumber and less independent the more we rely on pre-packaged style.”
What I bought
A container for berries: Another win from Home Goods’ “container aisle.” This thing extends the average lifespan of berries from 30 seconds to 1 - 2 weeks.
Tomato & Mint candle: This candle smells like August :)
A perfect jumpsuit: I went to Spain a few weeks ago for some family stuff and paid an obligatory visit to Bimba Y Lola. I beelined to this jumpsuit, tried it on and bought it immediately. I love the slight contrast between the white and cream panels.
A surprisingly flattering t-shirt: Tried this on at Madewell and was so into the fit that I bought it in two colors. Got this long denim skirt during that same visit.
A cobalt blue skirt: Got this during a “sale on sale” event at Ilana Kohn last month and it’s already in heavy rotation. It’s on sale AGAIN this weekend. Everything on this page is an extra 50% off with code MAKINROOM50.
Baby’s first Blundstones: I saw a shop owner in DC wearing these heeled Blundstones in January and bought them in store a few weeks ago. I had it in my head that Blundstones would not accommodate my big, high-arched feet but I was wrong. These boots are super comfortable and light. Perfect for the endless rain in New York. (P.S. Shoemarket has these at a significant discount if you want them in brown.)
Tabs I bravely closed
I’m still thinking about the leopard pants but the sizing is weird and returns cost $36 LOL
I like the Bode x Nike collab
I want to own this dress but not necessarily wear it
Might have to go try this on IRL
My favorite work bag but in cream
I’m in the market for some mid heeled black clogs, send me your favs
This is not a thing to buy but I really enjoy this series called “Boy Room”
Do you read For Scale? You should.
